Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Photolio app ("Photolio", the "app"), operated by Jun Wang. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Who can use Photolio
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Photolio. If you use the app on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.
Your account
You can use Photolio as a guest or create an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Subscriptions (Photolio Pro)
Photolio offers an optional paid subscription, Photolio Pro, which unlocks cloud sync & backup of your contacts, identities, and photos. The core app remains free to use without a subscription.
- Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual) through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID account settings (App Store → your account → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
- Prices may vary by region and may change over time; we will give notice of price changes as required. Purchases, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms; refund requests are subject to Apple's policies.
- If your subscription lapses, cloud sync pauses and your data on the device is kept. Cloud-stored photos are retained for 90 days and then removed; your contact details are retained so resubscribing restores your contacts. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Your content
Photolio lets you create and store content such as photos, names, contact details, and groups ("your content"). You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display your content solely to operate the app for you (for example, to sync it across your devices and to render the card information you choose to share).
You are responsible for your content, and you represent that:
- you have the right to add and share it; and
- it does not infringe others' rights or violate any law, including adding someone else's personal information without a lawful basis.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the app for any unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive purpose;
- upload content that is illegal, infringing, or violates others' privacy;
- attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours;
- interfere with, disrupt, probe, or reverse engineer the service, except as permitted by law;
- use the app to harass, impersonate, or harm others.
Sharing
Photolio lets you share an identity card with people you choose, via a QR code or link. You are responsible for whom you share with and what you include. Anyone who receives a share code or link may view the information on that card.
Service changes
We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time. We will try to avoid disrupting your use of the app, but we do not guarantee that any feature will always be available.
Termination
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time in
Settings โ Account โ Delete Account. We may suspend or
terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the app in a way that
could cause harm or legal liability.
Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that your content will never be lost.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the app.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
